A quieter week this week:
- This letter about PPE and the Minnesota TMS-azide incident sort of states the obvious. That said, even w/PPE and a blast shield, at 200 grams, there's still a likelihood the graduate student goes to the hospital and the hood is trashed.
- I'm excited to hear about this Jeff Johnson story about a carbon dioxide-trapping pilot apparatus at a cement plant -- seems to me that, if a carbon tax were enacted, this would be an obvious place to go.
- Will be interesting to see if this Simplot GMO potato goes anywhere -- I suspect that it won't, sadly. (story by Carmen Drahl, Jessica Morrison)
- I should really sit down and figure out this Dow polyurethane price-fixing story sometime - I don't doubt The Rheo Thing has covered it... (story by Marc Reisch)
