View From My Hood?: Shanghai edition
(got a View from Your Hood submission? Send it in (with a caption and preference for name/anonymity, please) at chemjobber@gmail.com; will run every other Friday.)
This looks like it is in Pudong. The building in the photo is tall, but far from the tallest in Shanghai - those are all over the river in Puxi. For accuracy, there is actually only one building taller than the Shanghai Tower and that is the Burj Kalifa in Dubai. The Shanghai tower is taller than any building in SA, and in fact has a higher observation deck than the Burj Kalifa. So for all intents and purposes, the tallest building you can go up and look around in is indeed in Shanghai. The view from there is spectacular, I would submit a lot more interesting than views from any tower in the Middle East.
I liked the Twitter picture of the skyscraper - I like tall building, and that was a pretty one. 632 m is big too in everywhere other than Dubai or SA.
looks like Blogger doesn't work with anonymous comments from Chrome browsers at the moment - works in Microsoft Edge, or from Chrome with a Blogger account - sorry! CJ 3/21/20
What neighborhood or district in Shanghai?
ReplyDeleteChinatown? :-)
