Help me understand... the UK chemistry job market
Hey, folks:
Seems to me that people have a difficult time finding work in chemistry in the UK; that Trevor Laird editorial is sure indicative, and I think I've seen other signs. Anyone want to tell me about the history of it (maybe the last ten years?) Give me a buzz at chemjobber -at- gmaildotcom or throw in a comment.
Cheers, CJ

Well I am a chemist and I have been looking for work for almost a year now and I can't find anything at all.
ReplyDeleteEvotec have been recruiting heavily in the UK recently. Start salary for fresh PhD/postdoc, the unprincely sum of £25,000. Thats about $37,000 Yankee dollars.
ReplyDeleteOnly the truly desperate need apply.
