Think of the transferrable skills! Network to your next position!

  1. You could always make the argument that the hunk of cooked meat is medicinal.

  2. Is this for real or was it photoshopped?

    1. I don't have proof that it was not, but I think it was real. Algorithms can be fooled; I suspect that the computer was fooled by "associate" and threw this position in the hopper.

If you go to SimplyHired and type in "medicinal chemistry" you get a fair number of hits. I also think that the reader checks SH fairly often, so their "inbox" would be more likely to have stuff that doesn't belong.

  3. I've been looking for organic chemistry jobs for the past couple months and I do look at simplyhired on a daily basis. I search organic chemistry and job for sears and lowes show up, so I'm not surprised that this showed up...

No, this was not photoshopped. It is an authentic screenshot of results from the other day. Neither I nor Chemjobber has been able to reproduce it, so it was a (un)lucky accident at the time. These days I guess it's not surprising to immediately question whether something is genuine. Next time I'll know to send along the raw data files and my real info for verification.

  8. For some reason I am remembering the scene from "American Beauty" where Kevin Spacey interviews at a fast food chain...

  9. @10:18 - I trust you, just didn't know. Sometimes stuff labeled 'fun' is photoshopped, so I didn't know if this was a joke or real. Good luck in your search.
