What areas of chemistry are likeliest to benefit from AI? Who are the major industrial/academic players in this field?

ReplyDeleteThey're stealing our jerbs!
ReplyDeleteI worked with liquid handling robots in high throughput synthesis to produce screening libraries for drug discovery from 1999-2006. I'd love to know whether machine learning and AI has led to any changes in this field over the 12 years since I left. Of course it's possible that high throughput synthesis itself isn't so much of a thing any more as the company I worked for folded a few years after I left.
