  2. CJ, in Germany the saying "it's not what you know, but who you know" is twice as relevant as it is here. If you don't have a prominent professor who is willing to stick up for you, then you might as well go to the Arbeitsamt. There are more words for "insiderism" in German than there are in English.

  6. I suppose you could take just about anything used in Chinese Medicine and get it to catalyse any reaction. It would just be a matter of finding the combination.
    At the least, their catalyst source and preparation was presented in the paper!
