    Excellent choice... listening to Kije has always made me think of winter. It's beautiful music.

    Interestingly, the story was written as a morality play about the impact of absolute power on the truth, with the Tsar's question leading to the invention of an officer. The irony of this story having been written in the Soviet Union is... nearly palpable.
