Ivory Filter Flask: 9/22/15 edition

A few of the academic positions posted on C&EN Jobs:

Aiken, SC: The University of South Carolina Aiken is searching for an assistant professor of organic chemistry.

Philadelphia, PA: The University of the Sciences desires an assistant professor of chemistry; hard to tell if it's an organic or inorganic position.

Troy, NY: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is searching for an assistant professor for the Alan Paul Schulz Career Development Chair; looks to be an analytical/bioanalytical focus. (What's the "Career Development" bit about?)

Vermillion, SD: The University of South Dakota has an opening for an assistant professor of computational chemistry. (Is this the one with the ~famous hockey team? Nope.)

Madison, WI: The University of Wisconsin-Madison is looking for professorial openings in the field of biocatalysis/biodesign for the production of chemicals.

Los Angeles, CA: Chapman University is searching for an assistant professor of biochemistry.

Laramie, WY: The University of Wyoming wishes to hire an assistant professor of analytical chemistry.

  1. Good try, but wrong Dakota on the hockey. That would be UND, formerly the Fighting Sioux, now nameless. Notable alums currently in the NHL being Jonathan Toews, TJ Oshie, Zach Parise.
