  1. Industrial mechanosynthesis is easily done with a twin screw extruder, which scales nicely up to megatons.

    Ask your friendly neighbourhood metallurgist. Ore processing chemistry is all about particle size, microhardness, crushing vs grinding, etc. The polymer guys use this kind of stuff all the time, too.

    It's just one of those things that's never expanded beyond its specialized field.
