Talking with Mary Boyd, Berry College provost

Looking forward to talking with Dr. Mary Boyd, provost of Berry College, on Saturday, October 14 at 9 AM Eastern:

Questions for the audience:
  • Got a resume that you'd like us to review live on the air? We will actually do this (discreetly/anonymously, of course)
  • Got a cover letter that you'd like us to review live on the air? (discreetly/anonymously, of course)
  • How is the market these days?
What would you like us to cover? Some topics will be pre-chosen, some are up to you.

  1. Hey CJ, where can I email you my resume for this segment? Should we send it before show, or will you take them live?

One question I have is about changing jobs with a Ph.D. It seems that people fresh out if college are changing jobs more frequently then in the past to advance their career, does this hold for Ph.D? I was told by my advisor that companies in industry expect Ph.Ds to work for them for five years in order to recoup their investment, so this seems pretty counter to my last statement. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the blog, will this show be archived for later listening?
