An intern is going to be executed at dawn for this one

In the American Chemistry Council's daily newsletter, a link to a "Minding the Campus" piece by Peter Sacks titled "WHAT STEM CRISIS? THERE ISN’T ONE." Surely someone has screwed up here, sending this piece out.

I like the cut of Mr. Sacks' jib.

(The article itself is a good summary of material covered here and elsewhere.)

    1. Quoting from that article;
      "The narrative changes to preserve the idea that individuals are responsible for their own joblessness, and in so doing keeps us from pondering systemic change."

  3. Some times I wonder if the 'intern' exists. Like when tweets go out that shouldn't have and it's an intern that was placed in charged of the social media account. Either people still haven't learned after several years or it's easier to fabricate an intern to blame.

    2. Is this related to Schroedinger's Intern in a box?

  4. That is why we are working on incorporating ACC into ACS, where, under my watch, such lapses in judgement are dealt with before they see the light of day.
