From my e-mail, an analytical chemistry position in a clinical setting:
We are an expanding clinical laboratory in the metro Atlanta area that specializes in therapeutic and illicit drug monitoring by HPLC-mass spectrometry and we are seeking a clinical chemist or toxicologist with LC/MS/MS experience. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or laboratory science or a bachelor's degree or higher in a medical technology program. The optimal candidate will have several years of hands on experience using LC/MS/MS instrumentation for small molecule quantitation in a clinical laboratory environment. Knowledge of AB Sciex LC/MS/MS instrumentation and the associated software is a plus.
Optimal candidates will also have experience developing new LC/MS/MS methods for small molecule quantitation as well as experience with method validations, sufficient for federal CLIA regulations. Exceptional candidates will also be certified medical technologists but this is not required. If you are looking for a great work environment with a company that is striving to be the best, then this is your opportunity.
