Daily Pump Trap: 9/24/15 edition

Good morning, everyone. A few of this week's positions posted at C&EN Jobs:

Camarillo, CA: YTC America is looking for a Ph.D. chemist to work on ionic liquids synthesis.

Chicago, IL: AbbVie is continuing its hiring campaign, with a posting for an experienced process chemist (all education levels) and a Ph.D. principal research scientist position.

La Porte, TX: AMPAC Fine Chemicals is hiring a B.S./M.S. analytical chemist - this is a (un)fun caveat:
*If you do NOT have prior pharmaceutical experience or are NOT willing to work on nights and the weekend shift, please do NOT apply for this position.
Well, in that case...

Also, another AMPAC process chemist position (this one at their Sacramento area facility.)

South Bend, IN: Two Ph.D. carbohydrate research chemist positions at Omicron Biochemicals, Inc; interesting 1-year contracts (it's part of a NIH grant, apparently.) 65-75k offered.

Melville, NY: Estee Lauder looking for a M.S./Ph.D. cosmetic chemist. (5+ years of experience desired.)

Seattle, WA: Seattle Genetics looking for research associates for process chemistry, B.S./M.S., 0-5 years experience. (Zeroes!)

Where?: Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates is an engineering firm of some sort; they are looking for an entry-level materials chemist; looks to be analytical in nature.

Metals, again: Not often we get a metals industry position, but Alcoa is looking for something like a M.S. analytical chemist.
