Credit: Calculated Risk
Fresh electrons from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

The unemployment rate is up 0.1% to 8.3% for July 2012. The broader U6 measure of unemployment was up 0.1% to 15.0%.

The news today will be about the 163,000 payroll jobs that were created, which is higher than the expected 100,000 jobs.

Slowly, slowly.

Thanks, as always, to Calculated Risk blog for the graph.
