Your subjects won't cry: Dow Agrosciences is looking (at the ACS conference in Anaheim) for B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. synthetic chemists. Indianapolis is a pretty nice town (really!) and Manning has a least a couple more years in him.
Uh, you could pay more, right?: Cambridge Major Laboratories is looking for a Ph.D. chemist with 5-10 years of "real-life, industrial experience preferably in an API facility." So why are you paying 60k to 80k? I mean, I'm sure that Germantown is a nice town with a low cost of living, but is it really that low? (Readers, amicrazyhere?)
Coatings: Arkema is looking for a Ph.D. polymer chemist with experience in coatings formulation; the position is in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. (You, presumably, will become the King or Queen of Coatings.)

I'll note that Nalco is the first employer to append a YouTube video with their ad -- so you got that going for you. What's the job growth difference between the developing world and the US? Well, Nalco is hiring 15 positions there. Fifteen!

ReplyDelete@5:16AM: Depends on the type of postdoc. DOE/DOD postdocs start around $60-70K, NIH is still around $42K. At least gov postdocs have COLA's.
